                             SPRI-08-001:  Old Brook InnLackawanna County

                                                     Route 307 Springbrook Twp.

Date: January 2008

Investigators Present:  Tom, Robin, Mark, Lauren, Thomas, Bill & Rick.

Equipment: DVR system with infrared cameras, Infrared handheld camcorders, digital voice recorders, Gauss meter, and digital cameras.

Overview: The owner of this property contacted SPRI with reports of activity which have spanned many years. These experiences include objects being placed in one location by the property owner only to be found later in a different location when no one else had been in the building and an apparition of Alice Gallagher, the former owner, being seen in the bar area. The second floor tenants report various activity, including TV’S going on and off by themselves. Two patrons of the bar reported witnessing a “fireball” coming through the bar area, traveling through the hallway and into the dining area where it appeared to collide with the fireplace and disappeared.

During the investigation, two of our investigators felt as though something brushed by them in the bar area.  Another investigator felt something touch him on the shoulder in the dining area.

Though we do not discount the experiences of the staff, tenants and patrons of this establishment, our equipment did not capture any evidence of paranormal activity. This building dates back several decades and is rich in history, which could possibly create an environment for a haunting.
